In the Kharkiv region, Russian forces continue advancing from two directions toward the village of Bilyi Kolodiaz. They are still attempting to advance from the village of Artilne toward the villages of Ustynivka and Ivashkyne, while also pushing from the northwest—from the village of Vovchanski Khutory toward Bilyi Kolodiaz itself. Meanwhile, the MoD has claimed to have captured Ustynivka, Bilyi Kolodiaz and the village of Baksheivka to its east. This time, however, the ministry did not even release any flag-planting photo ops, publishing only combat footage. Nevertheless, this sector of the frontline has become much more active than it was in previous months.

В Харьковской области российские силы продолжают наступление с двух направлений в сторону посёлка Белый Колодезь. Они по-прежнему пытаются продвигаться от Артельного к сёлам Устиновка и Иващино, а также северо-западнее — со стороны села Волчанские Хутора к самому посёлку. При этом МО РФ объявило захваченными Устиновку, Белый Колодезь и село Бакшеевка к востоку от него, но в этот раз даже не показало «флаговтыки» — только видео боёв. Тем не менее, этот участок фронта стал намного активнее, чем в предыдущие месяцы.

The Main Directorate of Special Programs of the President of the Russian Federation (GUSP)—the federal agency for ensuring the mobilization readiness of government bodies—has prepared a bill that would allow authorities to send conscripts to the directorate for statutory military service. Service there is currently permitted only under contract. Vladimir Putin signed a federal law expanding the categories of convicts eligible to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense during mobilization, martial law or wartime. The State Duma [lower house of Russia's Federal Assembly] had earlier approved it in all three readings in a single day. The measure lifts restrictions for those convicted under a number of articles of Russia's Criminal Code, including articles covering serious crimes (more here). Last week, footage emerged of a Russian armored vehicle assault in the Dobropillia direction in the Donetsk region, where such attacks have become relatively rare in recent months. Now, footage has been published from the border area of the Kharkiv region showing the Armed Forces of Ukraine launching a tank assault. The video shows Russian drones striking abandoned Ukrainian tanks near the villages of Khatnie and Ambarne. The tanks are fitted with large improvised cope cages, making it difficult to identify their models.
